Dim Sum are delightful, mouth-watering Chinese snacks served in steaming bamboo baskets and eaten with pots and pots of Chinese tea for breakfast or lunch. Steamed pork buns, shrimp dumplings, beef balls and pan-fried squid with spicy salt are some of the local favorites.

Shaomai

Small steamed dumplings with either pork, prawns or both inside a thin wheat flour wrapper. Usually topped off with crab roe and mushroom.

3. Turnip Cake 蘿蔔榚

Made from mashed daikon radish mixed with bits of dried shrimp and pork sausage that are steamed and then cut into slices and pan-fried.

4. Lotus leaf rice 糯米雞

Wrapped in a lotus leaf into a triangular or rectangular shape.It contains egg yolk, dried scallop, mushroom, water chestnut and meat (usually pork and chicken).
